Moyeni Garden is a place where nature's gifts meets the art of cooking. A place where the simple act of tending the soil yields an abundance of joy and flavor. Aptly named after the mountain of my African ancestors, it's a place to cultivate and savor nature’s bounty; It's also a wonderful space for children to connect with the wonders of the natural world. As you explore the garden, you'll notice a fragrant paradise for the senses. Here amidst the vegetables, basil, oregano, thyme and rosemary fight for your attention as you brush against their leaves. Clusters of mint and cilantro flourish, ready to add zest to dishes. Lavender and chamomile thrive inviting you to pause and enjoy their scents. This herb garden is a treasure trove of flavors and remedies. Sustainable gardening practices are priority here, as we use compost and organic fertilizers to nourish the soil and rain barrels to collect water for ollas irrigation

variety of berries. It’s amazing that plants grow if you spend time taking care of them. Depending on the season you might find lettuce, snap peas, cabbage, turnips, beets, tomatoes,
celery, onion, squash, pumpkins, zucchini, various potatoes, corn, watermelon, cantaloupe,
cucumbers, bush beans, pole beans, carrots, and every kind of pepper! It just astounds me
how planting a tiny seed with tender care and gentle attention can produce such deep roots and abundant fruit. This has become my prayer garden and I cannot wait to share it with you.
